SubliPrint Twill
SubliPrint is an applique process exclusive to K&B Outfitters in the immediate region. It is a form of digital textile printing. This dye sublimation process is an endothermic transformation of ink directly from a solid to a gaseous phase while bypassing the liquid stage. K&B creates digital graphics that can be prepared to any specifications (color, shape, size) which are reverse printed on transfer paper. Transfer paper is coated with a special preparation for transferring a design or imprint to another surface by extreme heat under pressure,.
The transfers are then heat applied to polyester athletic tackle twill fabric and then laser cut so that the edges are burned to prevent fraying. The final poly twill material is cut precisely to shape before being applied (sewn) onto the jerseys.
Below are some samples of projects using SubliPrint crests and/or jersey player names and numbers.
