With more than 2,000 customers, K&B's clientele continues to grow each new season. Since the mid 1980's, K&B Outfitters (known then as Signature Flags) has been servicing customers in both Allegheny and Beaver Counties along with some national and international businesses. In their early days, the company focused on custom boat flags and personal banners. Back then, flag and banner designs were created and sewn by hand for customers world-wide through an arrangement initiated by Kathleen Ronczka and her sister Gerri Taylor who were the original company owners.
In the late 80's, business picked up in the sports community especially after Kathleen succeeded in landing her first project for the NHL Penguins and Mario Lemieux. After being recognized for their quality work and on-time delivery, Signature Flags was afforded the opportunity to prepare a significant amount of work for Aramark who supplied the then Mellon Arena Concessionaires with personalized game day jerseys and other materials. Today, they continue that work for the PPG Paints Arena Concessionaires.
With the addition of high tech printers, embroidery machines, laser cutters and computerized sewing machines, K&B Outfitters is on the fast track producing high volume projects for several area Amateur Hockey Associations and High School Clubs. Although K&B focuses on Hockey, they continue to work on other sports projects including football, baseball, basketball and more. They also have a large list of corporate accounts that include municipalities, fire and police departments, schools and medical facilities, security companies and so much more.
